I like to photograph detail when I go somewhere to use these images as a memory

of that place or time.  I came up with the idea of using my photographs in pictures by collaging sections of these images as paper strips onto canvas. I then paint 

acrylic stripes that reflect the colours in the photos. 

I have also produced these pictures as commissions using clients'

holiday photographs as reference.
